Why not involve your kids in helping to fight the spread of Queensland Fruit Fly? Here are some easy ideas for traps you can make at home with common household items. Each trap will protect about 9m2 in your garden. Moira Shire Council and Berrigan Shire Council are partnering with the Cobram and District Fruit Growers Association to launch a community awareness campaign to combat the threat of Queensland Fruit Fly (QFF) in the region. The Berrigan and Moira Shires have put together a series of videos targeted at reducing Fruit Fly damage in the home garden. The first looks at trapping, the second at netting options and the third discusses garden hygiene. Great resources in the fight against fruit fly!
