CDFGA members and guests took advantage of our close proximity to the border and enjoyed an informative and social evening at the Tocumwal Golf and Bowl Club in late October 2020.
Dan Ryan, the Director of the SITPlus program and Adrian Inglefield from Hort Innovation were on hand to meet with growers and to answer questions regarding all aspects of the SITPlus program. Cobram is in its second year of a 3 year SIT trial and, to date, the results have been excellent. Members were brought up to date on the program as it is now and how it may work in the future. It was great to meet in a social setting and to have the opportunity to talk freely about such an important tool in our fight against Qfly. Sincere thanks to the GMV Regional Fruit Fly Project and SITPlus who shared the costs and provided us with a great meal and chance to relax a little before the harvest kicks in. And not a mask in sight – yay!

Simply click on the RSOURCES section at the top of the page, select COVID and there you will find a range of Covid documentation for your use.
More info will appear soon. Following members' requests a Covid Safety High Risk Plan has been provided to assist you in thinking about the Covid Plan for your business. This is in response to the government's declaration that horticultural businesses that employ seasonal workers are High Risk and, therefore require additional Covid response measures. Also attached are a template for an Attendance Register and Training Record. All of these documents are able to be saved and changed to suit your individual needs.
Additional documents and information are almost ready for loading on this website. Watch for Covid Plan updates and information of accommodation and travel allowances for the 2020 harvest season.
